With VLC Media Player, it is possible to crop videos and thus you can edit videos in the easiest way.
Many of us use VLC Media Player just to watch videos or listen to music, but it’s also true that the program actually has much more potential. Because it can also perform various editing on videos with VLC Media Player, so you don’t need additional video editing programs.
One of these features is Video Trimming with VLC Media Player, and we’ve put together the steps you need to do it the easiest way. If you wish, you can first download and install VLC Player your computer using the link below.
When we start the video clipping process, we first open the video that we want to crop with VLC, and then we continue with the “Preferences” button at the bottom of the menu that appears when we press the “Tools” button above.
When the Settings menu opens, we come to the “Imput/Codec”section on the left side and press the “Browse…” button next to the “Save folder or file name” option. After pressing the button, we also select the folder where our cropped videos will be recorded.
After logging out of the settings menus, we press the “View” button at the top again and activate the “Advanced Controls” feature from the drop-down menu.
When we activate the Advanced controls section, you will see that there are four new buttons just above the video control section. As soon as you press the red recording button here, your video will start recording from that section and recording will stop when you press it again.
However, when the recording stops, no save-to menu appears and the video is saved directly to the folder we initially set. Therefore, do not be afraid that there is no transaction. If you open your recording folder, you can see that only that part of the video has been taken, and you can delete the original long video yourself if you want.
